Majellan Singers

Formed in 1991, Majellan Singers is an ensemble of around 12-15 female singers whose musical backgrounds vary from professional to enthusiastic amateur.

The aim of the group is to provide an opportunity for women to develop their choral skills in a friendly and supportive environment and to produce choral music of a high standard, with an emphasis on a cappella repertoire.

As well as our own concerts, we perform with guest atists, including mixed voice groups and instrumentalists.

Festivals, weddings and other events also feature on the choir’s calendar.

The choir currently has a vacancy for an ALTO.

If you aspire to maintain and/or develop skills in

• reading music proficiently;
• singing tunefully in both a cappella and accompanied contexts, maintaining pitch;
• enjoying the challenges of smaller group performance across interesting and varied repertoire,
